Salary £29,000 per year

The Classic Prop Hire Company is a major prop hire group which includes Seasons Textiles, Classic Modern and Number Eight. We are a leading supplier of props and set dressing to the film & TV industry.

We are looking for a highly capable all-rounder to join us in Classic Modern as our new customer and stock coordinator.

As the Classic Modern coordinator you would support the Classic Modern manager in the smooth running of the division. This is a varied and interesting role that would give you a full understanding of the department.

In addition to handling customer enquires via phone, email and in person, you would also oversee all stock loss and damage processes.

You would add returned stock back onto our computer system, inspect and record any damage to stock prior to dispatch and during returns, and liaise with the Classic Modern manager, Head of Workshop and customers to investigate and resolve any damages or losses of stock.

Finally, you would offer collaboration and support to the Classic Modern loading bay team in the picking and preparing of stock for dispatch as well as being available to help with stock returns when necessary.

We need someone who:

• Is well organized, adaptable, and proactive in a busy and varied role
• Has the ability to lift heavy objects using good handling techniques
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have a common-sense approach to self-management
• Has a high attention to detail
• Is happy to muck in
• Has excellent timekeeping
• Has a good understanding of IT systems
• Is able liaise with our finance team regarding invoices and payments
• Has the ability to PAT test lighting if required (training can be given)
• Can undertake any ad-hoc duties as necessary

Ideally, you would have:

• An interest in the film industry or modern design
• Some relevant experience in a similar role
